Alex Farris no quiere la lengua inglesa, pero quiere ver el partido Super Bowl. No pasa nada, porque no puedo quedarme despierto hasta las tres de la madrugada. :P

Alex Farris wants to do well in class and in Spain in general, but right now there's too much English in my life. Thus, there will be no Facebook or Gchat while I'm here. (Five more months!) The blog is still in effect, so I'll provide teasers (in English) and post photos (with captions and comments in English). I'll also answer m...essages, but other than that I'll not be on Facebook proactively. ¡Deseadme suerte! ¡Hasta julio!

Alex Farris had a kick-ass time in Sevilla. Now it's time to start the real reason why I'm here: clubbing. ...Haha! No, classes start today.

Alex Farris is in Sevilla!

Alex Farris says Adios to the author of 'El Guardian entre el centeno', J.D. Salinger. I'm pretty stoked, though, that El País put his death as the lead story on its Web site: http://www.elpais.com/ http://www.elpais.com/articulo/cultura/Muere/J/D/Salinger/autor/guardian/centeno/elpepucul/20100128elpepucul_5/Tes

Alex Farris is getting his life together. I have a piso, I've made a rough budget for the semester, and I'm going to Sevilla this weekend. AWESOME.

Alex Farris gotapisogotapisogotapiso! (I totally stole this from Kinsey Bice 'cuz she stole my first piso. ;D )
27 de enero a las 17:08

Alex Farris has a new post! Finally! Read it, if for no other reason than to check out the good effort Google Translate makes in converting it to English. :P (Use the link on the left for that.) http://therewillbeflamenco.blogspot.com

Alex Farris has something to say to all the people whining about snow in the U.S.: ¡Hace frickin' frio aquí también!
26 de enero a las 5:53

Alex Farris is trying to do this whole no-English thing, but I couldn't get Strawberry Swing out of my head. ("And it's suuuuuuch, it's suuuuuch a perfect day...")
25 de enero a las 8:26

Alex Farris ama a Kelvin Hayden ahora mismo.
24 de enero a las 18:01

Alex Farris is going back to first grade. Re-learning how to talk and how to interact with others in a new culture is tough.
24 de enero a las 14:00

Alex Farris just checked the list of people signed into Facebook chat. There are only people who are spending the semester in Europe. Ballin'.
24 de enero a las 6:57

Alex Farris heard the Star Wars theme coming from a Spanish girl's phone as her ringtone. America has conquered world culture!!
23 de enero a las 12:39

Alex Farris helped a British couple get to the Sol Metro stop. I'm already starting to feel like a madrileño. Also: a Metro musician played the theme to The Lord of the Rings.
22 de enero a las 7:48

Alex Farris has a cell phone! Oh, the simple pleasures.
21 de enero a las 10:23

Alex Farris is still on the hunt for a working cell phone. Oy. At least the apartment I looked at today was ASTOUNDING.
20 de enero a las 17:43

Alex Farris met Kayla Gross in Madrid tonight. I think you might know of her, Brad Zehr, Larry Buchanan, and Kristina Vragovic. Ring a bell? 'Cuz it's a small world, and she went to Homestead.
19 de enero a las 22:54

Alex Farris can rent a bike instead of using the Metro, and therefore spend less money on transportation, in the spring... of 2011. Estoy aquí demasiado temprano.
19 de enero a las 9:56

Alex Farris is buying a new phone, looking for apartments, and going to class. It's like home, but in Spanish, which makes it MUCH more interesting.
19 de enero a las 1:56

Alex Farris is having a bad day in any language. Ay de mí.
18 de enero a las 7:36

Alex Farris has updated his blog: http://therewillbeflamenco.blogspot.com/. (Well, it's more or less updated; the latest entry describes what I did Thursday. I'll get onto the last three days once I organize my notes and photos. Watch for shots from Toledo!)
17 de enero a las 18:38

Alex Farris lost his phone that he bought Friday. Strike one against Madrid. You only get two more, ma'am.
17 de enero a las 15:21

Alex Farris found out he can talk in Spanish late into the night. Next to dreaming in Spanish, that is the best confidence booster I can find. Now it's time for an English viewing of the Colts game. C'mon, espn.com!
16 de enero a las 19:46

Alex Farris is apparently missing jury duty for this.
15 de enero a las 18:32

Alex Farris has made a lot of progress in the last two hours. I bought a new phone without using English, and I understood almost every single word my señora said. Now it's time to look for an apartment. (Which I've never done in English, oddly enough...)
15 de enero a las 13:59

Alex Farris has new posts! http://therewillbeflamenco.blogspot.com/ I'm still organizing yesterday in my head, but today is devoted to more orientation and a Spanish bank account.
14 de enero a las 5:32

Alex Farris has gotten himself lost. He's also gotten himself tasty dinners, a metro pass, and a razor that I forgot to bring from home.
13 de enero a las 17:40

Alex Farris is going to bed in what will be his room for the next month. This is so cool.
12 de enero a las 18:09

Alex Farris is going to Spain today! Woo hoo! Check out the new blog: http://therewillbeflamenco.blogspot.com/
11 de enero a las 6:57
